Friendship!

I joined a Minecraft SMP a little while ago and it truly feels like home.

Okay what I'm about to say sounds a little silly, but I genuinely think this Minecraft server is helping my mental health. The server is warm and friendly, and everyone's really nice to me. I haven't talked this much in a while, which is rather surprising because I am DEATHLY afraid of judged. I rambled about my dumb little consoles and they asked me about console modding!!! I'm so happy.

It's a Pokemon based server, so there's a modpack that allows for pokemon to be in-game in tiny pixelated forms. It's very cute. I was given an Absol & Alolan Vulpix (Vulpix is my favorite pokemon, alongside it's evolved form Ninetales, Absol is my 2nd favorite!) and I love both dearly. I even drew my Minecraft skin with Absol earlier today during work.

The server itself is super nice. It gives you free starter items & you're able to ask for help whenever. I decided that I wanted to build my base at a snowy mountain. It's something a bit of a tradition now, as I always choose a snowy peak to build a base at. After finding an unclaimed mountain with snow, I was welcomed with...

a bunch of chests full of cobblestone and supplies?

I did some asking around and it turns out it was an abandoned project by someone who's inactive. I didn't find much else besides a sign that said "Snowpoint City" and a nether portal. The owner told me I was allowed to claim it & use all the materials, so it's alright I guess.

The shocking part is this: someone told me it may have belonged to the original champion! Similar to the original Pokemon games, a champion is chosen in the server. I think it's an interesting thing. I hope the old champion is doing well. I'm currently trying to build a replica of their idea! Snowpoint City from Pokemon Diamond/Platinum/Pearl! It's a gorgeous city in the game and I can't think of anywhere else that could be better. I'd feel a little bad if I just built my own thing with no disregard for the old champion's idea. So far I don't have much... but I'm sure I'll complete it eventually.

Pokemon in general has been one of my largest interests & it's something I'm very passionate about. I've played (almost) every game up to Gen 7 & watched the anime when I was little; mainly Sun & Moon and X & Y. I practically grew up with Pokemon honestly.

Despite liking Pokemon I kind of realize I have like 0 physical media of it. 2 plushes, one official pillow case, a fake glaceon plush, 0 pins even though I love pins, and a handful of cards. Wow. To be fair though real Pokemon merch is super expensive compared to other things. I defiantly want a Ninetales plush in the future when I have money though!

But yeah that's kind of it.

It's been a long time since I felt at home somewhere. I'm glad I found it here!
