Focus

2026 WILL be my year. trust. I'm already locking in. do people still say that...

my english teacher would say "lock it up" because she couldn't memorize "lock in" and I find that funny. everyone start locking it up NOW!!!!

anyway, jokes aside I've uninstalled a lot of games from my laptop and (finally) re-installed blender. It's been a while. With so many things happening in my life, I haven't been able to get back to 3d modeling since I switched to Linux. (arch btw)

Fun fact: I've never finished the blender donut tutorial despite using blender since I was like, what, 12 or 13? Yeah. Tutorials will never work for me at all. From all my other hobbies, I've learned that the best way I learn is by copying what other people do.

Crocheting for example, I could never get those "how to crochet" tutorials right now matter how slow they went. I learned a lot more instead by watching people crochet things. Coding was the same, I learned much more by looking at the source code of several things rather then watching a YouTube video.

So, I'm focusing a bit more on expanding on things that I want to work on. This year I definitely want some sort of portfolio compiled on a website with my own domain & name on it. Not a real name of course... the internet is scary, but having my internet name/username would be really nice.

Other then that I just have this feeling that I finally have the ability to just get back to things I liked doing. No more doom scrolling and feeling awful 24/7, now, I actually feel the urge to be productive and do things on days. Woo!

Animal Crossing music is also saving my life. Highly recommend. I have wild world (on ds) and new leaf (on 3ds) installed, but it's been a while since I played. Maybe I should? Sometime next weekend maybe, and maybe I'll make a blog post about it...

Overall, it's been pretty good! My days are finally getting better and I'm truly back to my old routine. I'm very happy.
